Today I’m reviewing the Ritual Skin Lightening Mask from Aura Vedic.

Claims: This gentle mask formulated with pure natural actives deeply penetrates the skin to lighten the complexion and clarify dark spots for glowing and radiant skin.

Price: Rs. 200 for 50g

Packaging: The Aura Vedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask comes in a white, plastic tub with a screw-on cap, and an inner lid for preventing spillage of the product inside. The product inside still manages to leak out a bit around the opening L

Ingredients: Red sandal, Saffron, Turmeric, Neem, Tulsi, Licorice, Kapurkachri, Nagarmotha, Amla, Mulberry, Papaya Enzyme, Sorbitol, Potassium Sorbate.

Free of Parabens, SLS, Harmful Chemicals & Colours.

My take on Aura Vedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask: The Aura Vedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask is a thick, yellow-brown mask. It has a creamy yet granular texture. it is quite a thick product, so I usually dilute it with 1-2 sprays of rose water before applying to the face. I generally use it after scrubbing my face with the scrub from Aura Vedic. The fragrance is primarily that of turmeric. I keep it on my face for about 8-10 minutes, and then wash off with water. If kept longer than that, I think it will leave a yellow stain on the skin because of turmeric, so I would like to suggest here that this be used at night, before sleeping. With regular usage, I have noticed a slightly clear skin, with temporary glow after using the product. There is, however, no major lightening of the skin’s complexion. That, I believe, will take some more time to show up.
