So, we have actor Celine Jaitley featuring this section today, from a public appearance long back.
What's wrong with the make-up?
- The foundation is cakey. Looks like a thick layer of plastic on the face.
- Too much contouring on the nose. The nose looks like it's not her's, as if it has been pasted here. It's a different shade altogether!
- Coloured lenses + 3 coloured eyeshadows + winged eyeliner + falsies at the same time= big no-no!
- The lips look too dry!
Lessons we can learn:
- Do not slather too much foundation on the face. Blend it well, and make good use of concealers and color correctors to conceal spots.
- Avoid too much contouring. Also, if you are contouring the face, do it on all parts of the face to balance out the look. Like, the cheeks and the jaw line too.
- Highlight just one facial feature at a time. Either the eyes, or the cheeks, or the lips. Not all of them at the same time, however much you are tempted to use your favorite products!
- Keep the lips looking moisturised, even if you love matte lips.

Her makeup doesn't look too bad to me although it looks her skin has been photoshopped. You are so right about the nose though! Its a completely different colour to the rest of her face...very strange! lol

ReplyDeleteYeah i totally agree with all the points u have made. Esp. second point. contour and highlighting can make or break the look. if rightly done ( like Kim Kardashian) can look extremely beautiful.
I have seen people slathering on highlighter (read shimmer) to achieve a glowing look which actually makes them look like a disco ball, shiny everywhere.
Can those reverse circles are killer, yuck, yuck, yuck.

ReplyDeleteOh boy! Celina is always such a makeup disaster..the nose contouring is hilarious and dnt evn get me started about the eyes..colored lenses especially blue and green just dont suit indian skin tones!!
