Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel- Matte 77
Hiya everyone!
Hiya everyone!
Today I’m reviewing a gorgeous black gel
eyeliner from Inglot, one of my favourite make-up brands. A black eyeliner is a
must-have for everyone. Read on to know more about this eyeliner.
About Inglot AMC Gel eyeliner- Matte 77: WATERPROOF Long-lasting, waterproof formula. Can be used as an eye shadow or body painting gel. Brush number 30T is recommended for eyeliner application. PARABEN FREE FORMULA NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS 5.5g/0.19 US OZ
Price: Rs. 850 for 5.5g
Packaging: The eyeliner comes in a small,
flat, round transparent plastic tub, with a black screw-on cap. It is a no-fuss
packaging. No applicator brush is included with the pack, unlike the gel
eyeliner packs from Maybelline/ L’Oreal. So you’ll need to buy a separate
eyeliner brush for use with this gel eyeliner.
My take on Inglot AMC Gel eyeliner- Matte
77: Matte-77 is a flat black eyeliner, highly pigmented, very smooth and
creamy, and very easy to apply. I scoop out a bit of the product (about the
size of a rice grain. You need less than that amount of the product for lining
both the eyes) with a clean eyeliner brush on the back of the hand before
applying to avoid contaminating the whole thing. Since the product is very
light, airy, and smooth, it gets applied in a jiffy. And it sets very quickly,
like in about 5-10 seconds, so you need to be quick with application.
Once set, it doesn’t budge from its place for a long time. On my very oily lids, it sometimes tends to transfer to the upper lid by the end of the day if I do not powder the lids. So if you have very oily lids like mine, remember to apply some loose/ compact powder to the lids to increase the staying power. It doesn’t get completely transferred, but it does!

On other days, when I powder the eye lids,
it stays for about 10 hours on me.
The finish is matte, and it stays like that
the whole day.
The eyeliner is a jet-black shade, and I
love how pigmented it is. The only down-side with Inglot gel
eyeliners is that these supposedly dry up very soon. The drying up can be
delayed by keeping the lid of the pot tightly closed, keeping the pot in the
cardboard box that it comes in (to prevent chances of contact with air),
keeping the pot upside down (secret tip from the MUA’s). If it does dry up
eventually, add 1-2 drops of Inglot Duraline to get back the consistency of the
gel.
And, ya, you will need a separate eyeliner
brush too. I use either the brush that comes with Maybelline gel eyeliner (it’s
mighty good!), or the Ambika Pillai eyeliner brush or the Sigma E05 eyeliner brush (yet to be reviewed on the blog). Just remember to clean the brushes after each use. If any amount of the gel liner dries up on the brush, you'll have a hard time the next time :P
Pros of Inglot AMC Gel eyeliner- Matte 77:
- Jet black, highly pigmented shade
- Very smooth and easy to apply
- Stays put for a long time
- Waterproof
- A little goes a long way
Cons of Inglot AMC Gel eyeliner- Matte 77:
- Need to buy a separate brush
- The gel eyeliner can dry up soon
- A little pricey!
Verdict: I quite like this eyeliner for the
rich pigmentation and smooth texture. You need to be good at the art of
applying eyeliners before you start using gel eyeliners. But once you use
these, you’re sure to get hooked onto gel eyeliners. So do give these a shot.
Inglot gel eyeliners come in a plethora of colors to suit everyone’s taste.
Rating: 8.9/10

thanks a lot sweets. I have listed the products at the bottom of the post :)
Deleteoops sorry didnt see that :)
Deletei bought one gel liner from Maybelline - it dried up so soon, i had hardly made a dent in it, and after i trashed it then i came to know that these can be put in microwave for 3 seconds or heated via blow drier and they are good to go .. i wasted my gel liner :P
ReplyDeleteoops... m not sure heating up a gel liner would be ok or not...the formula might change.. be careful! :)
DeleteI was using Maybelline but it didn't fare too well after some time. I can use Shweta's tip before chucking it out. good review :)
ReplyDeleteI have faced the same too...but m not sure about the heating up thing :|
DeleteIt really works ya..I saw GOSS MUA suggesting it on YT and i instantly tried it and i must say the gel eyeliner was as good as new!
Deleteoh really... sounds too good to be true :P
DeleteLOVed your EOTD .. I wanted to buy this but waiting for my maybelline one to finish, also m enjoying using liquid liner these days ...
ReplyDeleteI have always been using liquid eyeliners..they are actually the best liners for oilies like me :P
Deletethanks a ton! :*
oooh its such an intense black..I just wish they had included a brush considering the price..Btw do put duraline in the pot itself or u take a bit out on ur hand and then mix duraline(which turns out very messy)? I heard if u put it in the pot then the gel eyeliner might harden even more :o
ReplyDeleteput duraline and mix properly... havent tried as yet... but adding a drop of duraline to dried up liner each time would be so messy!
