Remember, I told you guys that I’ll reveal the secret to my some-what glowing skin this season HERE. Well, I’ve had good skin this season, all thanks to the Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid. This is one of the two products I bought from Kama Ayurveda, and I’m mighty impressed. The other one is an hair oil, which I’ll review in a few days.

About Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid: Prescribed in ayurveda to illuminate complexion and even skin tone.

This unique blend of oils and herbs is formulated to help skin look young and healthy. In Ayurveda, rare saffron helps illuminate skin color. Extracts of Indian madder and the Banyan tree help smooth fine lines. Sandalwood, vetiver, and lotus cool and cleanse while helping clear blemishes. Liqorice, an antiseptic, protects against bacterial and fungal infections. It also helps improve skin texture. An essential beauty treatment.

Price: Rs. 850 for 12mL

Packaging: The Kumkumadi oil comes packed in an off-white, cuboidal cardboard box, with engraved golden letters and design. Inside, you get a tiny glass bottle, brown in color, with a golden screw-on cap, and a leaflet with instructions and ingredients mentioned on it. The bottle is really too small, almost of the size of an eye-drops bottle. It has a stopper on the inside, which keeps the oil from spilling, but I’d still say that the bottle should be kept in a plastic bag/ pouch if you intend to travel with it.

Usage directions

My take on Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid: The Kama Kumkumadi fluid is a light orange-brown coloured oil, which has a very ayurvedic smell to it. If you have ever been to a Kairali spa, you’d know the fragrance of the oil, and not mind it much. If not, the fragrance can be tricky. Though the fragrance does not stay for a long time after application, it is nonetheless bothersome.

PS: Very oily skin!

The consistency of the oil isn’t too thick. It spreads on the skin easily, and I generally apply just one drop to the face and neck. I apply it after the routine cleansing, toning at night, and leave it over-night. The oil gets absorbed well, and my face doesn’t look too oily the next morning. Though with the weather getting a bit warmer here, I’m assuming I’ll need to use this with caution during summers. Maybe wipe the face with a cotton round an hour or two after application.

Now, the real deal. It makes the skin glow from the first use, and I’m not joking or anything. This is seriously the best product I’ve ever bought for myself. The first time I used it, I got 2 compliments the very next day. The acne scars are slowly fading, the skin looks brighter (not fairer, and I’m not aiming for fairness), and the oil hasn’t broken me out. I absolutely love this product!

The price may irk you a bit, but consider this as an investment for your skin!

Pros of Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid:

·         Helps fade spots

·         Does not break out the skin

·         Does not make my very oily skin more oily

·         All natural products!

·         Suitable for all skin types, though those with oily skin will need to see how it works best for them (left for an hour or two, or when applied on alternate days)

Cons of Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid:

·         Expensive (but totally worth it!)

·         Not everyone will like the ayurvedic fragrance

·         Glass bottle, may break if you drop it

·         Kama products are not very easily available

Verdict: MUST-HAVE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES (yes, in capital letters!). I urge you to try this out!
