Hey everyone!
Today I’m reviewing an orange concealer or
corrector from Kryolan. Orange concealers or correctors are basically used to
neutralize grey/ blue skin discolorations. If you have heavy, stubborn
under-eye dark circles, or skin pigmentation, this one might just be for ya!
About Kryolan Derma Color Camouflage Creme-
D30: An exceptionally effective and long lasting special make up for the
concealment of discolorations in skin abnormalities, scars and tattoo marks.
Price: Rs. 350 for 4mL
Packaging: The Kryolan Derma Color
Camouflage Creme- D30 comes in a small white tub with a green screw-on cap. The
tub packaging makes the product a little unhygienic to use, but I make sure I
use a q-tip to scoop out product to keep it contamination free. It is otherwise
a travel friendly pack.
Ingredients: Refer to the image below.
Shelf life: 24 months after opening
My take on Kryolan Derma Color Camouflage
Creme- D30: The D30 creme is a bright orange crème of a thick texture. You
really need to scoop out some product from the pot to use it. It spreads
not-so-easily onto the skin, and you need to carefully apply it only to the
areas which need color correction, and blend well.
A few minutes after application, though,
you can really note that the discoloration below looks lesser in intensity, so
you know it’s working. The MUA at the Kryolan store told me that color
correctors should be left on the skin for 2-3 minutes before applying the next
layer (foundation), and I do follow her advise.
Under-eye dark circles are what made me buy
this product, and I must say, I’m definitely happy with the kind of concealment
I get with a corrector, rather than with just a regular skin-coloured
concealer. So efficacy wise, this product wins.
The staying power of this product cannot be
judged alone, since it is always worn with foundation on top of it. But I’ve
never had any problem with this product in terms of staying power (it doesn’t
alter the staying power of other products), so I’m not complaining.
You can see the before and after pics below. In the 'After' pic, I have used this orange corrector, followed by MAC Studio Finish concealer.
*Sorry for the puffy eye, I had a sleepless night before clicking this one :P
My only grudge is with the texture. it is a
bit too thick for my preference. That could, in part, be due to the fact that I
tried out the pen-style orange corrector at the store before buying this, and
that one had a thinner texture, so it spread easily, and was more
user-friendly.
Pros of Kryolan Derma Color Camouflage
Creme- D30:
·
Helps conceal blue/ grey based
skin discolorations, like under-eye dark circles
·
Does not alter staying power of
other make-up products
·
Easy to use
·
Affordable price
Cons of Kryolan Derma Color Camouflage
Creme- D30:
·
Texture is a bit too thick, so
it’s a little tricky to apply this product
·
Tub packaging
·
Kryolan products are still not
widely available
Verdict: Do check this one out! An orange
corrector is a must-have if you have discoloured skin or dark circles.

DeleteHey, I have the same corrector. And it works wonders. Correctors are used to cancel out the ashyness/blue/black areas, do not confuse it with a concealer. Please wear your concealer after the corrector instead of the foundation because your under eye darkness is still visible with the foundation.
ReplyDeleteif you read the post, I HAVE used the concealer after the corrector! thanks :)
Deleteguess u didnt read the first line too!
