Hiya girls!
Today I’m reviewing the newly launched
Nivea Repair and Beauty lip balm. Read on to know my experience with it!
About
Nivea Repair & Beauty lip balm:
Price:
Rs. 149 for 4.8g
Packaging: The Nivea Repair & Beauty lip balm comes sealed in a small
plastic sleeve on a cardboard strip. The product description is mentioned on
the strip. The case of the balm is a white coloured, round tube with a twisting
mechanism. It has a long cap, white with purple label, which covers up almost
the entire body of the tube (like Vicks inhalers :P). It shuts with a click, is
travel-safe.
Ingredients: Check out the below pic:
My
take on Nivea Repair & Beauty lip balm: The
balm is a dual-core lip balm. The outer part is baby-pink in color, whereas the
inner core is milky white. This is where it poses a problem for those with
pigmented lips like mine. It leaves a white cast on the lips which tends to
make my face look ‘ill’.
The texture is smooth but not too buttery,
and the balm stick glides easily on the lips. It has a minty-strawberry like
fragrance. Because of the ‘mint’ factor, it leaves a mild cooling sensation on
the lips for about 15 minutes after application (would be great for summers!).
The staying power is around 2 hours during
the day. But since it leaves a white cast, I prefer applying it at night, and I
wake up the next morning with soft lips. It is decent at moisturising. There’s
a lot of product in there (4.8g), so one tube will last you a good number of
weeks!
Pros:
·
Decent moisturisation
·
Smooth texture, glides easily
·
Makes the lips soft and smooth
·
Mild cooling sensation on the
lips
·
Huge quantity
·
Cute, travel-friendly packaging
·
Affordable
·
Easily available
Cons:
·
Leaves a white cast on the lips
·
During the day, staying power
is just average (talking, eating, etc. rob the lips of moisture)
Verdict: Overall, a decent lip balm. But if you have pigmented lips, apply
it at night!
Rating: 8.9/10
