Hiya
everyone!
I’ve
been hooked onto vanilla fragranced products this season, be it my hand crème,
body butters, or, my latest addiction, the Vanilla Lace mist from Victoria’s
Secret. Read on to know my take on the latter!
About Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace fragrance mist: A seductive, warm fragrance. Feel sensual in Vanilla Lace, a seductive veil of warm vanilla and sultry musk. Experience the luxury of fragrance. Refreshing formula is infused with conditioning aloe vera and calming chamomile. Spray on for a sexy touch of scent.
Price: Approx 750-800 INR for 250mL
Packaging: The VS Vanilla Lace mist
comes in the signature VS body mist packaging- a tall, transparent plastic
bottle, tapering at the base. A golden screw-on cap-cum-spray thingie, and a
transparent cap on top. This particular bottle is a light brownish yellow/
mustard in color. The packaging is definitely travel friendly, although I would
never carry 250mLs in my hand-bag.
My take on Victoria’s Secret Vanilla
Lace fragrance mist: Vanilla Lace has been my go-to, or rather, signature fragrance
this season. I have used it every single day since I bought it. Just a few
sprays on the body after the shower in the morning, and I’m sorted for the day.
The
fragrance is a mix of vanilla and musk (I love both of these notes in my fragrances),
and is ultra-feminine, classy and chic at the same time. A very neat, crisp fragrance!
In my opinion, it is a slightly grown up fragrance. I mean, not for college
going girls out there! It is definitely on the sexy/ sultry side. Since it is a
mist (and not an EDP/ EDT), the fragrance is quite mild in strength.
The
staying power is roughly 10 hours. I mean, it’s winters here and I’m not
sweating, so I can say it’s 10 hours. The fragrance stays good for about
3 hours, and fades slowly with time, but my nose can still pick up wafts of the
fragrance, even at the end of the day. So I’m pretty much happy with the
product. Though I know a mist will not last on the skin for the whole day, come summers!
The
bottle is a brownish yellow/ mustard, but the liquid inside is colorless (I
hate perfumes/mists which leave stains on clothes).
For
me, the product has no cons, except
that VS products are not rampantly available in India yet, and when they are,
they come with a heavier price tag than the original one.
Verdict: if you are the classy kinda woman, pick this up without a second thought. You’ll
love the sexiness of the mist!
Rating: 9.5/10 (-0.5 for the availability
issue)
