L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Gloss- 156 Really Rose: review, swatches

Today i'm reviewing the Really Rose gloss from the newly launched Le Gloss range from L'Oreal Paris. I am not much of a gloss person, but of late, I have realized that a dab of gloss on the lips can make a lot of difference to the way your lips look, especially in photographs. Read on to know my take on L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Gloss- 156 Really Rose.

Packaging: The glosses in this range come in transparent, easy to squeeze tubes with golden screw-on cap and golden print on the tube. The tubes do look classy, and the squeezy bit makes application easy, especially for touch-ups. The tube has an angles mouth, and a small opening for dispensing product. The tube is travel friendly, and will fit into a clutch easily.

My take on L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Gloss- 156 Really Rose: Really Rose is true rose coloured creamy gloss. It has no shimmer or glitter particles. The pigmentation is quite sheer, so if you have pigmented lips, you may not love wearing this alone on the lips. The texture is smooth and creamy, and the gloss is a delight to apply. It does not feel heavy or sticky on the lips, and stays for about 2 hours on me, and you shouldn’t expect more wear-time from a gloss. I usually wear it over a lip-liner or lipstick, and it makes the lips look healthy (shiny). It does not travel out of the lips, but it does transfer to coffee mugs.

 It has a mild fruity fragrance, but one thing that particularly caught my attention the very first time I wore it was the taste. Yes, you read that right. This gloss tastes sweet, fruity, almost like strawberries. (Don’t ask me why I licked it, it just happened, lol)

So I like the shade, texture, and finish, but I just wish this one was a little more pigmented.

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Gloss- 156 Really Rose:

·         Final finish- creamy (not shimmery)

·         Sheer shade, universally flattering

·         Easy to carry and use packaging

·         Can be used alone (not if your lips are pigmented) or over lip liner/ lipstick

·         Easily available

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Gloss- 156 Really Rose:

·         Pigmentation could be better

·         The fruity taste. We really don’t need it in a gloss!

Verdict: Overall, I quite like this gloss for that boost of moisture on the lips, especially when wearing long-staying lipsticks. It doesn’t feel heavy or sticky, so I give it a thumbs-up. Do check these out.
