Hiya everyone!
Today I’m reviewing another gorgeous shade
from the Revlon lip butters range, the shade Red Velvet. I have already
reviewed the shade Raspberry Pie (here). How excited I was to receive these lip
butters as gifts is not unknown to you all. Let’s quickly get on with the review. Will
discuss the shade here. Everything else (packaging, product description, pros
and cons) remains practically the same as Raspberry Pie.
The product comes in a similar packaging as
Raspberry Pie, except that the lipstick case has a dull red lid, in sync with
the color of the product inside.
Red Velvet is a burnt red shade with a
medium pigmentation. It does not cover lip pigmentation completely, but this is
one shade I feel does justice to pigmented lips. The lip butter glides on the
lips easily, and sets to a soft glossy finish. It does not feel heavy or
sticky, thankfully. The staying power is about 2 hours. Ans these lip butters are prone to melting, so I would not advise carrying these in the handbag.
The shade will suit all complexions alike.
Those of you who are afraid of bold reds can start your journey with red
lippies with this shade. You can sheer it down to a very light red tint, or
build the color to a darker red, depending on the occasion or your taste.
At the price point of Rs. 600 for 2.55g of product, these can be a little expensive, but totally worth it.
