Hey everyone!
So after much delay, I finally went to Sephora yesterday. I had been delaying going to the mall ever since Sephora opened, for the fear of emptying my pockets, but I just HAD to go yesterday.
The store is HUGEEEEEE!!
The brands laid out to Indian customers are Sephora, MUFE, NYX, Benefit, Burt Bees, Clarins, amongst many others. I was a little too tempted to buy a lot of things, but in the end, I zeroed in upon the following items from Sephora:
1. Sephora Chic Guimauve body scrub (Rs. 550)
2. Soap and Glory Hand Food- everyone raves about it, and I picked this one purely out of curiosity! (Rs. 390)
3. NYX eyebrow shaper- (Rs. 700-800)
AND then, the worst thing happened. I paid the bill, collected my items, and left from the store, not knowing that the security tags on each of the items were not removed from the products. The security system at Sephora didn't buzz, and I exited the store. Then I went to some other store, and while I was exiting from there, their security system beeped, and I had to undergo a security check as if I were a thief! Damn! I am not going back to Sephora anytime soon! I'm so traumatized! Oh, and btw, one of the items still has the tag. I am probably preserving it with the sate written on it, for being the most embarrasing day of my life :(
PS: If you go to Sephora, do check all items for 'no' security tags before leaving. Ask the store assistants to have things checked!
Anyways, so I also got a kohl and lip pencil from MAC, a gloss from L'Oreal, another one from Revlon, and the Lakme Absolute kohl.

Hey same happened with me ....after shopping at sephora I went crosswords on first to buy some books for my daughter the moment I entered it beeped but lady guard is so good she asked me" sephora se aaye ho" I said yes....then she helped me removing the tags...she also told me I was not a first one many people faced this problem and when visited sephora second tym I told them to remove all the tags and make sure they are removed...........btw nice haul...cheer up its not your fault..salute to your courage atleast u mentioned it on your blog I was coward I didn't mentioned this on my haul post because I am feeling so embarrassed...:(

This happened once with me at Shoppers Stop. One of the most embarrassing days of my life! Y dont these guys check the tags properly!!

DeleteThat's such an embarrassing incident....and for absolutely no fault of yours. Why do they put security tags if they don't bother removing them...and also if their scanner doesn't beep when a tagged item passes through???

DeleteI like Soap and Glory's sexy mother pucker lip plumper! It really works... the sephora store is fab! Though i didnt face the tag problem with my purchases!
