Hiya girls!
Today I’m reviewing a skin toner. A toner
is one product I cannot imagine my life without, since I have very oily, acne
prone skin. The last one that I was using, and loved a lot, was the The Body Shop tea-tree toner. But that one bottle took 13 months to hit the bottom, and by
the end of it, I was bored like hell. So I picked this one up, and guess what, I
am loving this one too. So I don’t really know which if the two is my favourite! Read on to know my experience with the Vichy toner in this post.
About Vichy Normaderm Purifying
Pore-tightening lotion: An association of peeling effect ingredients and a skin
soothing agent in a purifying lotion. Results- from the 1st
application, leaves skin feeling mattified and helps unclog/ tighten pores.
Price: Rs. 990 for 200mL
Packaging: Vichy Normaderm Purifying
Pore-tightening lotion comes packed in a tall plastic bottle, tapered at the top.
The bottle is of a light green color, and has a white flip-top opening. The packaging
is simple, and travel friendly. Also, the translucent bottle allows one to see
the amount of product left inside.
Ingredients: Active ingredients- Glycolic
acid + Salicylic acid. Vichy Thermal Spa Water. For the remaining
ingredients, check out the below pic.
Shelf life: 12 months after opening
My take on Vichy Normaderm Purifying
Pore-tightening lotion: The toner, as I’d like to call it, is a watery liquid,
which has the lightest of green tint, which is hardly visible on swatching. The
lotion has a mild fragrance, which I’m not able to describe, but it is mild. The
toner does not sting on the skin, unlike the mild-tingling sensation one feels
when using a tea-tree toner. Also, it carries away all impurities left on the
skin even after washing with a face wash (see the below pic for proof), and
leaves the skin squeaky clean, mattified and smooth. The skin stays mattified
for some time too, and the break-outs I’m experiencing is way too less than
before. I do not have major open pores on my face, so I cannot comment on the
effect of this toner on those, but I do feel the toner has mild skin-tightening
properties. I have been using this for more than 2-2.5 months now, and I can
vouch for its efficacy on oily, acne prone skin.
All in all, a very effective toner for oily,
acne-prone skin.
