Maybelline SuperStay 14 hour lipstick- Endless Raisin: Review, swatches, FOTD

I'm reviewing yet another lippie from the Maybelline Superstay 14 hour lipcolor range. I have already reviewed the shade Always Plum here. This particular range from Maybelline is turning out to be a major hit with me. Read on to know why!

Packaging: The Maybelline SuperStay lipsticks come in a not-so-fancy packaging. I mean, I am not liking the white cap at all, looks tacky. At this price, I was expecting something better. Otherwise the packaging is decent. I like how the lower portion of outer body reflects the shade of the lipstick inside very closely, so if you have a few lipsticks from this range, a particular shade will be easy to locate. And it is travel friendly too.

My take on Maybelline SuperStay 14 hour lipstick- Endless Raisin: Endless Raisin is a beautiful brown shade with a hint of mauve, and no shimmer or glitter particles. The shade is perfect MLBB shade for a lot of us, and apt for daily wear. Endless Raisin will go well with all kinds of dress shades, and is suitable for all occasions. When in doubt, wear Endless Raisin.

The pigmentation of is great. A single swipe covers lip pigmentation completely. The texture is smooth and non-sticky, and the lipstick does not feel heavy on the lips. The finish is matte, but not a harsh, drying matte. The lips still look healthy, though one does need to prep the lips (scrubbing, lip balm) before application, or any dryness on the lips may be apparent. These lipsticks do not bleed, and a lip-liner underneath isn’t required. The staying power is awesome too. The lipcolor stays for about 5-6 hours, even with a meal in between.

The lipsticks from this range have a sweet, fruity fragrance, but thankfully the fragrance does not stay on the lips for more than 5 minutes after application.

Pros of Maybelline SuperStay 14 hour lipstick- Endless Raisin:

·         Does not feel heavy on the lips

·         Soft matte finish (which I love!)

·         Amazing staying power (5+ hours easily)

Cons Maybelline SuperStay 14 hour lipstick- Endless Raisin:

·         14-hour claim is not true

·         Packaging could be better

Verdict: Generally impressive range of lipsticks, Maybelline Superstay 14 hour lipsticks are a sure-shot hit. Endless Raisin, being a gorgeous MLBB shade, is one of my favourites from this range. Do check this out.
