makeup removers

Hey everyone!

If you have been following the Blog lately, you’d know I have reviewed quite a few make-up removers one after the other in the past few weeks. Some of these I loved, some I hated! I thought I’d put them all down here in a single post for you to compare them and take your pick.. Read on!

PS: Review posts have been linked to the names of the products for convenience :)

Hits: Make-up removers

1. Clinique ‘Take The Day Off’ cleansing balm: My favorite favorite remover- this one’s a a waxy product in the tub, and melts to a butter-like consistency the moment it comes in contact with the skin. Removes even the last traces of make-up without any fuss!

Price: Rs. 2000

2. Maybelline Make-up Remover Eye & Lip: In contrast to the Clinique remover above, this one is dirt-cheap when it comes tot he price, and works almost the same. I’ve used up 3 bottles of this one, and I just absolutely loouueeeee it! Given the price, it gives stiff competition to the other removers in the market! Removes all sorts of make-up, and doesn’t hurt one bit!

Price: Approx. Rs. 300

3. L’oreal Paris Gentle Lip & Eye makeup remover: ‘Gentle yet effective’ is how I’d like to describe this one! Works like a charm!

Price: Rs. 425 (approx.)

4. Lakme 9-to-5 Dual-Action makeup remover: Yet another effective one, this one’s a bit oily! Try it if you have dry skin, you’d love it!

Price: Approx. Rs. 300

5. Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser: Creamy cleanser, this one too removes make-up very effectively.. Cleanses the skin as it works, plus it is all-natural! Perfect for travel!

Price: Rs. 850 for 200mL; Rs. 250 for 50mL (travel-sized pack)

6. SoulTree Ayurvedic Cleanser: Again, a very impressive natural cleanser which removes makeup too.

Price: Rs. 350 for 200mL

1. Revlon Eye & Lip makeup remover: oh, this was such a dud! Stings my eyes very very badly! I just hate it! Works fine on the facial skin, but then it claims to be an ‘eye’ makeup remover too! :\

Price: Rs. 200

2. Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover: This one is like ‘plain water’. Does nothing at all! Waste!!

Price: Rs. 350

So that was my list of favorite and not-so-favorite makeup removers. I’m eyeing the MAC Cleanse Off Oil and MAC Gently Off Eye and lip Makeup Remover and Bobbi To Go Instant long Wear Makeup Remover.
