Price: $46 for 8g (~Rs. 3000 in Indian store)

Packaging: The product comes in a black and white cardboard packaging. Inside, the case is a classy black case, with twin compartments. There’s a mirror under the lid, the product in the centre on a round pan. There’s another compartment under the round pan, which houses a white sponge applicator.

The applicator is white in color, and is soft and pliable. Makes application of the product very easy. Can be washed and re-used.

My take on Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation- Honey: At the Bobbi Brown masterclass, I was matched to the shade Honey. All Bobbi Brown foundations have a yellow undertone, and this one is no different. The Long Wear Even Finish compact foundation is a creme to powder foundation- it is creamy in the pan, and is quite thick too on swatching, but when applied to the face, it becomes powdery matte. The product is highly concentrated, and doubles up as a spot concealer for small blemishes/ acne spots. A light layer on the skin is all you need for an even complexion. It provides medium coverage which can be built up to give medium-to-full coverage, without looking cakey. Gives a healthy flowy finish. Blends well into the skin, and is best applied with the sponge that comes in the pack.

Coming to the efficacy, the compact foundation wears surprisingly well on my oily skin. Stays put for about 4 hours in humid conditions, and 6+ hours in air-conditioned environment. Doesn’t oxidise on me. The T-zone does get oily in about an hour, but blotting and compact powder can take care of the same. A primer underneath definitely helps. The product doesn’t clog pores or feel heavy on the skin. All in all, a pretty good product, but you get way too less product for the price you pay!

Pros of Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation:

  • Highly pigmented product
  • Foundation + compact in one
  • Medium coverage, buildable to full coverage
  • Gives an even finish to the skin
  • Doesn’t look cakey even when built up
  • Stays for a decent time
  • Nice packaging- the applicator sponge comes in handy for touch-ups

Cons of Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation:

  • My oily skin demands powdering on the T-zone every 1.5-2 hours
  • Pricey for the amount of product in the pack

Verdict: A nice product to have in your kitty, gives medium to full coverage and is a creme to powder finish. You will need to powder the T-zone well.

Rating: 8/10

Don't miss:

    1. hehe… all shades are yellow based… I’m using NC42 these days, and this one suits fine… a shade lighter would be a little too light for NC41 (tried that too)… so give this shade a try… 🙂

  1. Sounds good but i will be skipping this because i have oily skin…looking forward to Channel mattifying powder…have heard great things about that!

    1. haha loL!
personally for me, MAC studio fix powder is my HG, since it controls shine and oil… this one doesn;t do that! this is more like a dewy finish 🙂 plus it is creamy to begin with, so is technically not a powder 😛
