My love for Sigma brushes is not unknown! I am head-over-heels in love with Sigma brushes, coz they are of such superb quality! Today I’m reviewing yet another brush from Sigma- the E56 Lid Shader brush. Read on to know my take on it 🙂
Price: $12 for a single brush
Packaging: The brush is a simple slim brush. It has a black brush handle and silver ferrule. Total length is 17.3 cm.
My take on Sigma E56 Lid Shader brush: The brush handle is slim and is easy to grip onto. Since it is long, you can get a good grip on it and achieve precise application of eyeshadow on the lid. The brush bristles are synthetic, and pick up color really very well. I mean, there are some eyeshadows that are really very chalky and powdery, and fall out a lot. This is the brush that I like using with those shadows. It really ‘controls’ them well. The pointed tip helps in achieving precise application, especially around the inner corners of the eyes.
The brush is flat in shape, and helps in layering shadows (and not blending). That said, if you are working with just one eyeshadow, this is the only brush that you need! It also works well with cream based products like eyeshadows, primers and paint pots, since it is a close-packed brush. (Psst… if you want, you can use this brush for concealer application too, provided you have a clean, fresh brush).
It is an easy to wash and quick-drying brush. Highly recommended!
Pros of Sigma E56 Lid Shader brush:
- Flat brush, helps with application and layering of eyeshadows
- Works well with both powder and cream products.
- Helps in controlling fall-outs (because of the dense bristles)
- Does not shed
- Easy to grip brush handle
Cons of Sigma E56 Lid Shader brush: None as such, except for the
limited non-availability in India locally. Need to order internationally- shipping + customs is a hassle!
Verdict: Excellent, multi-tasking brush. Must-have!
