Today I’m reviewing the Crabtree and Evelyn Somerset Meadow ultra moisturising hand therapy for you all. It was launched in India a few weeks back, and I have used it enough to form an opinion about it. Read on to know my take on this product 🙂
- Contains hydrating ceramides and conditioning water lily and ivy extracts
- Myrrh extract helps condition nails and cuticles
- Formulated without colour, mineral oil, parabens, phthalates or propylene glycol
Price: not sure 😛 The pack that I have was complimentary from the Brand. Would be somewhere around Rs. 400- 500 🙂
Packaging: The hand cream comes in a pretty looking, yellow colored metallic tube, with a small, white screw-on cap. The cap is really too small, so you have to be careful with it, especially when in hurry. Also, since the tube is metallic, it tends to lose shape as you squeeze it 🙁 Nevertheless, the tube is travel friendly 🙂
Ingredients: Mentioned in the image below 🙂
My take on Crabtree and Evelyn Somerset Meadow ultra moisturising hand therapy: The hand therapy is a white colored, creamy product. The texture is medium-thick i.e. it is neither too thin, nor too thick. It spreads easily, and gets absorbed into the skin well, but not completely (which is a good thing for a hand-cream). Moisturises the skin pretty well, and leaves no oily/ sticky feeling on the skin (you know how I always have that urge to check my phone after applying a hand cream? I hate sticky ones 😛 ) Works on dry skin, and works for the cuticles too, so it is pretty good in it’s job!
Now the best part- the fragrance. the first time I used this hand therapy, as they call it, I fell in love instantly. I love the fragrance, like, love it to death? It is THAT awesome! It reminds me of being in a park early morning, and that smell of green grass with fresh dew on it. If I close my eyes, I feel like I’m ‘falling onto green grass’. The fragrance also has notes of waterlily (floral) and some fruity ones too, which are not too prominent (thank God!). Very chic, sexy, feminine fragrance! 🙂
Okay enough blabbering, but seriously do give this cream a try for a very different and fresh fragrance. I thing C&E does the best fragrances when it comes to bath and body products 🙂
Pros of Crabtree and Evelyn Somerset Meadow ultra moisturising hand therapy:
- Heavenly fragrance- universally flattering!
- Fresh, grassy fragrance with a hint of floral, can’t stop raving about it 😀
- Smooth, creamy product, spreads easily
- Moisturises the skin and cuticles well
- Suitable for dry skin/ winters
- No artificial color, parabens, mineral oil, etc.
Cons of Crabtree and Evelyn Somerset Meadow ultra moisturising hand therapy:
- None as such, except that the cap of the tube is too small to be used in hurry 😛
- Okay one more- limited availability in India currently:(
Verdict: If you are looking for a unique fragrance in a hand cream, do give the Somerset Meadow hand therapy from Crabtree and Evelyn a try! it works really well on moisturising dry skin and taking care of dry cuticles too 🙂
