About Faces Glam On Powder Blush: High-quality pigments impregnated in a super-rich formula. Just what is needed to give you stunning results to show off!

Packaging: The Glam On powder blush comes in a simple black cardboard packaging. Inside, you get a mirror-finish blackish case, with the product in a round pan, and a mirror on the under-side of the lid. The mirror-finish outside is a finger-print magnet, and if you are a hygiene freak like me, you will have to spend time cleaning it up. otherwise it’s all good. The pack has no applicator, which is fine by me. Most free applicators are anyways useless :P .

My take on Faces Glam On Powder Blush- Crimson: So ‘crimson’ basically means ‘red’. A true blue red. The Faces Glam On Powder Blush- Crimson is no-way a red. Nope, not even a reddish undertone. But, I don’t really mind it that much, till the product works fine for me. The name will just confuse someone who picks it up online without looking at the swatches :P .

Anyhoo, the shade Crimson is a pretty pink, in all it’s glory. The shade will flatter fair to medium skintones. The powder is smooth, very finely milled, and HIGHLY pigmented. The first time I used it, I had clown cheeks. Not a good thing for a beauty blogger to admit on her blog, but never mind! So one needs to be really very careful with using this product, and should pick up the tiniest amount of product on a really fluffy, soft brush for application and blending (I recommend the Sigma F40 Large Angled Contour Brush). The blush blends well, but only if you apply the right amount using the right brush. You can always build the color intensity. The powder has a satiny texture, and the final finish has some golden sheen to it, without any obvious shimmer particles. It’s all integrated into each other. One does not need to use a separate highlighter on the cheeks as such, when using this shade- a boon for beginners!

Staying power is around 5-6 hours on me with a primer (I have very oily skin), after which it tends to fade, but since it is so pigmented, it never really vanishes from the skin. Below is the swatch of a single swipe :D

Applied here with an *ahemm* light hand. If you are a regular reader, you’d know I like applying my blush so that it gives more contour and not directly on the apples of the cheeks (if not, well, I just told ya!). {Check out my contouring/ blush application post}.

Also on my face:
Eyes- Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil- Forest Green (upper lash line);
Faces Super Longwear Kohl- Persian Blue (lower lash line);
Lips- Faces Glam On Lipstick- Enchant

Pros of Faces Glam On Powder Blush- Crimson:

  • Smooth powder
  • Very highly pigmented
  • Stays on decently
  • The subtle sheen it imparts eliminates the use of a separate highlighter on the skin
  • Affordable

Cons of Faces Glam On Powder Blush- Crimson:

  • Need to be careful while application- highly pigmented product. Needs some practice.
  • The name might just confuse some, LOL! Not really a con, but….

Verdict: Overall, a decent product with above-average pigmentation. Careful application and good amount of blending can give beautiful results.

Rating: 8/ 10
