My take on ZA True White Plus Two Way Foundation: The powder is very finely milled and has a smooth texture. It is best applied with a fluffy powder brush in my experience. Applies well, and keeps my skin matte for around 3 hours at the most. I like how this powder does not clog my pores (yeah, seeing some around the nose lately!) and keeps my skin looking fresh. It gives sheer coverage with a brush, which can be slightly built upon when used with the sponge applicator. It has an SPF of 20 in it, so I avoid wearing it for parties or events where camera flash could be used, since titanium dioxide/ sunscreen agents tend to reflect light and make your skin appear white in pictures. It is a decent option for everyday college/ office wear.

Shade #22 is a yellow-toned powder is a tad light for my medium/ MAC- NC42/ Bobbi Brown- Honey complexion, but it doesn’t look too light on the skin, especially when coupled with the right foundation underneath. #22 is the darkest shade with yellow undertone 😐

As for the brightening claim, I do not personally think a compact can do that, but this one boasts of ‘skincare’ properties, which would be good for the skin on prolonged use.

However, the lack of shade selection (only 4 shades, some have pink undertone too) bothers me a little since the shades seem to be quite light for the average olive-skinned Indian women.

Pros of ZA True White Plus Two Way Foundation:

  • Blends easily
  • Keeps the skin shine-free for upto 3 hours
  • Hasn’t broken me out
  • Contains SPF, so good for day-time wear
  • The packaging is cute!
  • You can buy the refill alone, and that way the product is budget friendly! Comes with an applicator too!

Cons of ZA True White Plus Two Way Foundation:

  • Contains talc. Some people tend to breakout with it.
  • Buuying refill and compact case separately can be a hassle sometimes (unless you own a magnetic palette)
