Faces Ultime Pro primer, foundation, pressed powder: Review
New base makeup always excites me, more so when it seems to match my skin! I’ve been using the new base makeup products from Faces for some time now, and am clearly happy with the same. We’re talking about the new Faces Utime Pro primer, foundation and powder. Let’s take a look at these products! 🙂
Faces Ultime Pro Perfecting Primer
Price: Rs. 899 for 30mL. Buy here.
This happens to be my current favorite primer- a little slippery texture helps prime the skin pretty well. The primer glides on the skin beautifully and helps smoothen the texture and reduce pore size. The foundation glides on the skin pretty well after this primer, and stays put too! The squeezy packaging with a nozzle definitely makes the job easier!
Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation

The product comes in a glass bottle with a push-button dropper dispenser for easy dispensing. However, the push button on the packaging with me seems to not co-operate with me most of the times, so I usually have to use the dropper tube as a spatula to scoop out the product. Maybe it is just the packaging that I got.
That said, the foundation is beautiful! With it’s serum-like texture, it glides on the skin and blends in effortlessly and does not leave any streaky patches behind. It is almost weightless and even with about 7 hours of wear with this one, I have never felt any heaviness on the skin. I usually blend the foundation in with a sponge applicator. I do however notice that it tends to grab on to the drier patches, so if you have dry skin you may want to moisturise your skin really well before using this one. It would work perfectly fine for those with oily skin, especially during summer months! It gives medium to high coverage.
Apart from the slight technical glitch with the packaging that I received, I think this is a beautiful foundation. Perfect for daily wear too!
Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Pressed Powder

Complementing the primer and foundation in this range is the pressed powder. This one comes in a flip-top packaging with a sponge applicator and a mirror. The powder itself is finely milled and pressed well into the pan. There are no powder fly aways when you pick up the product. The powder gives light to medium coverage depending on how you apply it (with a powder brush or the puff applicator). I get a soft matte finish with this one when I wear it alone, and a matte finish when I wear it over the foundation from the same range.
Below are all the swatches: The powder and foundation are both in the shade SAND, the darkest shade of the 4 shades in each category (Ivory-Natural-beige-Sand).
And this is what the products look like on me:
Also on my face- eyeshadows- L’Oreal Paris Color Riche La Palette Gold, L’Oreal Paris Color Riche ‘Mocha Gold’ lipstick. All reviews & swatches here.
Overall, I am pretty happy with these new base products from Faces Cosmetics and give them a big thumbs up! Do try them!
