If there’s one skincare step I enjoy the most, it has to be the weekly facial scrub and masque routine. Every weekend, I look forward to pampering my skin some more than usual, and I am a hoarder of all sorts of masques for the great deal of benefits they bring with them.
The Body Shop recently launched 5 vegan nature-inspired masques as part of the ‘Recipe of Nature’ range, and I picked up 3 of them for review. I ended up using one of these on my wedding day too, right before the bridal makeup, and totally loved the results. Take a look at my video below for the demo, my routine and my thoughts on the range.
The Himalayan Charcoal purifying glow mask is a clay based mask with charcoal which helps in deeply purifying the skin and is best for areas that are oil prone or have larger pores, mostly around the T-zone. The Chinese Ginseng and Rice clarifying polishing mask has a nice scrubbing and clarifying action, and eaves the skin feeling the smoothest! My personal favorite though is the British Rose fresh plumping mask which leaves the skin feeling baby soft to touch and noticeably plump. It is the one which can be used more frequently than the other ones I have, and I love slathering it on whenever my skin needs some extra pampering.
The best part is that all of these are vegan products, so you can be sure of the best of ingredients for your skin.
I have been lovinggg these masks by The Body Shop and you should give them a try too. More about these on their website here.
