An integral part of south-Asian daily life. Be it daily wear or occassion wear, a dupatta is that one piece of clothing which you will invariably see floating around everywhere. They offer the grace of a saree, well almost, without the fuss of having to drape 9 yards of fabric around your body. I collaborated with Shoonya to bring to you two versatile looks- classy, elegant and super comfortable festive looks for the upcoming festive and wedding season.
While everyone around us is busy traveling to a hill station right now, thanks to the super hot weather in Delhi currently with no respite in the form of rains, me and hubby are running a little too busy to step out of the town right now. Hotels in and around Delhi are such a savior for us currently for a quick weekend getaway. We spent the last weekend at Radisson Noida Sector 55. Read on for the deets!
Men’s summer fashion is just as interesting as that of women! Us women love getting dressed up every day, and clicking #ootd pictures is a regular part of our daily lives. But in terms of style and fashion, even the men are not far behind.
John Players, with their new Spring Summer 2017 collection showcasing noisy colorful patterns, indigo stories and summer pastel hues is sure to take the men’s wardrobe by storm this season. You can pick floral patterns, madras checks and embroidered butta motif shirts and t-shirts that are available in eye catching shades of neon and soothing shades of indigos. Read on for the details and 3 looks we put together for men!
All Good Scents recently launched a few new fragrances as part of the Eternal Garden collection and I have one of the women’s fragrances with me for review. Generally the one to stay away from ‘floral’ fragrances, I was taken by surprise by this one. Read on to know the deets!
A quick life update- I got married recently (more on that later), and now getting back to work slowly but steadily, now that we’re back from the honeymoon too! It’s been a fabulous one month of celebrations & travel and I cannot wait to roll out more stuff here on the blog, but amidst everything else, I just quickly wanted to share a day in my *new life* with you guys.
Have you ever wanted to slow down in this fast paced lifestyle that we have today, take a step back, and incline your fashion sensibilities with nature? We have seen a shift in fashion sensibilties of a chunk of fashion conscious people, everyone wanting to give way to more natural methods and hand-made products instead of ‘fast fashion’ or mass-production which, a lot of times, involves human exploitation for cheaper production.
A major part of fashion designing/ garment construction involves fabric dyeing. Last week, I happened to attend a one-of-it’s-kind natural printing and dyeing workshop by DIY (Dye It Yourself) in Jaipur. Read on for the deets!
Oh, that time of the year again! That faint chill in the air and the excitement building around the festive and upcoming wedding season! I bring to you my latest lookbook for this Diwali with two indigenous brands that I recently discovered and love so much! Read on for more.
Just a quick update for all of you who love silks like me- there’s a silk exhibition going on in town by National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC). I’ve already been there twice in the last few days and shopped a lot for myself, and I’d highly recommend you guys to check it out too! I love it because you get awesome stuff there at very reasonable prices coz the craftsmen are directly exhibiting there and no middlemen/ commissions are involved!
Sarees, suits, dupattas, you name them and you got them from craftsmen from every state in the country. Do check them out guys! Me and my Mom have already picked up some nice stuff, and plan to go there atleast one more time before they wrap it up. Great way to support local crafts and craftsmen, and support Government of India’s #MakeInIndia initiative!
SilkFab Exhibition by NHDC
Venue: Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi
It is very rare for me to fall totally in love with a brand, at least in terms of being a repeat customer. I like trying new brands every time I shop, and not very often will you see me carrying two products from the same brand in my ‘look’. Well, Hidesign is one big exception here, and it has maintained this spot for a lot of years now.
I discovered Hidesign when I was still studying, when Dad got himself a Hidesign wallet and belt. This was long back. That must have been almost 15 years back. And the moment I held that men’s wallet in my hand, I knew I wanted to own some products from this brand too. And soon.
