L’Oreal Paris Color Riche lipstick- Fever Brown: Review, swatch, FOTD

Hey girlies!
So I just reviewed the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche lipstick in¬†Pink Passion here. In this post, I’ll review the other shade I have from the same collection- Fever Brown. These lipsticks are very smooth and buttery, and I love the quality of the product and packaging! Read on to know more!

The packaging is a very gorgeous golden case, with the brand name engraved on the bullet itself. Love that!
Fever Brown is a reddish brown lip color with copper colored shimmer particles generously thrown in! The shimmer particles are not gritty, but as the lipstick fades off in about 2 hours after application, they remain stuck to the lips, making them look unflattering.
The shade as such will complement a lot of skin tones, and can be worn to work. The texture is very smooth and buttery, so the lips stay hydrated for around 2 hours, but these lippies settle into fine lines.
This particular shade isn’t one of my favorites, since I don’t like buttery lippies (I love mattes) and I don’t like shimmer in my lipsticks (I love flat lippies), and a combination of both is definitely not for me!
These are priced at Rs. 825 for 4.7g of product.

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche lipstick- Pink Passion: Review, swatch, FOTD

Hey everyone!
I’m quickly reviewing the¬†L’Oreal Paris Color Riche lipstick in Pink Passion in this post. These lippies have been around since the Cannes Film Festival 2013, and I’ve already done a look with this and more products from this range in¬†this post.¬†

The packaging of the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche lipsticks is a gorgeous golden case, with the shade details mentioned on a color-co-ordinated sticker at the base of the case. You could just buy these lipsticks for the gorgeous packaging!!

The shade ‘Pink Passion’ is a coral shade with a wee bit of pinkness in it. Depending on the lighting in which you see it, the ‘pink’ tone may play up or down. It has medium pigmentation, and can be layered to get opaque coverage. Does not hide lip pigmentation completely, though! The shade can be flattering for light to medium skin tones, and may wash out dark skin tones. The lipstick is flat, i.e. it has no shimmer/ glitter particles. The shade, in my opinion, is very summer appropriate.¬†
These lipsticks have a very smooth, buttery texture, almost like a soft lip balm, and they keep the lips hydrated for around 2 hours after application. On the downside, because of the creaminess, this one settles into fine lines on the lips in some time after application. Creamy, so it transfers to coffee mugs, and wears off in about 3 hours. Does not survive meals.
Priced at Rs. 825, these are a tad bit expensive, but you get 4.7g of product as opposed to the regular 3-4g. So, take your pick!

Every shampoo today speaks about strong hair, but what really matters is the roots that make the hair strong. Only strong roots can give you strong and healthy hair. L’Oreal Paris Fall Repair 3X is one such shampoo that takes care of your roots.

Fall Repair 3X is an Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo that delivers a triple anti-hair fall action. It nourishes the hair root, restructures hair fibre and helps the hair grow stronger from root to tip. Stronger the roots, lesser the hair fall.

And we believe that real strength of people comes from their ‚Äėroots‚Äô. Hence our campaign for the next month is called ‚ÄúStay Rooted‚ÄĚ
‚ÄėStay Rooted‚Äô is all about remembering your roots and knowing that whatever you are today is¬†because¬†of your roots. Your roots are the main reason for your strength & L’Oreal Paris Fall Repair 3X ¬†is giving you a chance to connect to your roots. “

L’Oreal Color Riche Le Khol- Portofino Blue: Review, EOTD

Hey everyone!
In this post, I’m reviewing a blue pencil eyeliner from the latest L’Oreal Paris Color Riche collection launched at the time of Cannes Film Festival 2013.
I have been a black-eyeliner-black-kohl girl, since the time I can remember. I don’t frequently like to use colored eyeliners. Sometimes, I do go in for a colored pencil on the lower lash line, but that’s about it.
Let’s move on to the review of the¬†L’Oreal Color Riche Le Khol in Portofino Blue.

About¬†L’Oreal Color Riche Le Khol- Portofino Blue: Intensity, comfort, precision.
Price: Rs. 350 for 1.6g

Packaging: The kohl pencil is a wooden, sharpenable pencil, the body of which is color coded as per the color of the product. A thick golden strip near the sharpening end pf the pencil and golden letters everywhere add a luxe feel to the product. The pencil has a transparent plastic cap. Travel friendly.

My take on¬†L’Oreal Color Riche Le Khol- Portofino Blue: I’ve been using this pencil for quite some time now, ever since I received it. The shade is a little difficult to describe in words (if you Google Portofino Blue, a certain shade of Blue, slightly lighter than royal blue, is known as Portofino Blue+ there’s a place called Portofino in Italy!). So this pencil from L’Oreal is a slightly brighter version of the Portofino Blue that I see online. It has good pigmentation, glides smoothly, without any major pulling and tugging, and has an amazing staying power of about 6 hours without smudging on my oily lids (as an eyeliner).
On the lower lash line, it doesn’t sting or irritate the eyes, and wears comfortably for about 3-4 hours. Owing to the staying power on my oily lids, I can safely say that these are one of the best pencil eyeliners I’ve tried.

EOTD: I’ve worn this shade as an eyeliner and kohl in the below pic.
loreal color riche le kohl portofino blue swatches
Pros of¬†L’Oreal Color Riche Le Khol- Portofino Blue:
  • Smooth, pigmented product
  • Easy to use
  • No pulling or tugging of lids required
  • Decent staying power of about 6 hours as eyeliner (I have very oily lids) and about 3 hours as a kohl
  • Does not irritate or sting the eyes
  • Love the packaging!
  • Decently priced

Cons of¬†L’Oreal Color Riche Le Khol- Portofino Blue:
  • Product wastage each time you sharpen it ūüôĀ

Verdict: If you love blues on your eyes, go grab this one! I am really impressed!
Rating: 9.5/10

Random eyemakeup and FOTD

Hey everyone!
Just a quick random eye makeup tutorial and FOTD from a few days back. I have used golden-green and plum-brown on the eyes, paired with a light plum on the lips. A n*de blush went well with the look, IMO!

Let’s begin…
For the eyes:
1. Conceal under eye dark circles. For a detailed tutorial, check out THIS post.
2. Apply a coppery base/ primer to the upper lids. Blend with finger tips. You can use any eyeshadow primer here.

3. Next, apply a golden highlighter shade to the inner corner of the eyes, around the tear-duct, using a pencil brush/ q-tip.

4. Apply a golden-green eyeshadow to the entire eyelid, and a dark plummy brown to the outer corner. At this stage, you can just pack eyeshadows on the lid using a flat brush.

5. Blend the two colors, using a fluffy blending brush. Extend the plummy-brown to the crease area. If you have small eyes, do not go all the way inwards.

6. On the lower lash line, apply the plummy-brown to the outer 1/3rd, the green to the middle part (golden eyeshadow has already been applied to the inner corner) using a pencil brush/ q-tip. Blend.

7. Apply black eyeliner to the upper lash line, and kohl to the lower lash line.

8. Curl lashes and apply mascara. I used the regular compact under the brow bone, to give a neat effect.

The eyes are done. Proceed with the make-up of the rest of the face. Apply primer, foundation, blush. Contour if needed.
Line and fill the lips with a lip liner, apply a light plummy-pink lipstick, and a little bit of gloss to the lips to give a polished look.
