I was recently going through some YouTube budget makeup challenges, and came across this ‘Everything under Rs. 100’ makeup challenge by SJ Loves Jewelry, and a few of you sent me DMs on Instagram to see my version of the same too, so here we go!
So while researching for makeup looks for this series, I came across this fun post with various interesting looks to create for this challenge, and I’ve decided to stick to it, but not in any order. I’ve already done some of these looks, and here’s the 5th look in this series..
30 Days Makeup Challenge Look 5- 4 product challenge
Today I’m sharing one of my most favorite looks, something I’d wear to a special occassion without thinking twice. I love smokey eyes, and more so the really dark ones where all the focus is around the upper lashline (more than outer corner, coz I have hooded eyes). Such looks go really well with a n*de lip, and you always get a few compliments too!
30 Days Makeup Challenge Look 4: Smokey Eyes, N*de lips
Continuing the #30DaysMakeupChallenge, today’s look is just an extension of yesterday’s look, albiet with the hottest makeup trend at the moment- glitter lips!
#30DaysMakeupChallenge Look-2: Glitter Lips
Glitter lips are the hottest makeup trend for this season. A few days back, British MUA Pat McGrath launched her range of glitter lip kits *drool* and the beauty world went crazy! Then I saw my favorite YouTuber Tati from GlamLifeGuru do a video with these products, and I officially lost it! Just had to give this trend a try!
With the festive season also coming up, if you want to up your glam quotient without much of an effort (hello, no blending!), you should totally give this trend a try. Most of us makeup crazies have some pigment or glitter lying around in our stash anyway. Go ahead, pick them up and create a DIY glitter lip look in an instant.
All of September, you’ll see me doing a new makeup look every day under the self imposed #30DaysMakeupChallenge! The inspiration behind this post is some serious scolding from my bestie Sakshi (who has an awesome food blog ‘A Hint Of Yellow’ btw). For the past few weeks, she kept telling me that the looks I was doing on the blog/ social media were quite simple, and mainly just lip products. And like a lazy ass person, I kept saying I wasn’t getting the time. But then one day I decided to put my laziness aside and really do some creative looks here, if not crazy looks. So here we are with this challenge. Thanks Sakshi for the motivation!
#30DaysMakeupChallenge- Look 1: My signature makeup look
Here’s look #18 for the 30-days’ eye makeup challenge! I’ve used mostly greys (though they look bluish here, but trust me you, those are greys 🙁 ) and a bit of yellow in the inner corner of the eyes… A dash of a plummy eyeshadow on the lower lash line added the right amount of contrast!
Festivals are round the corner, with Rakshabandhan tomorrow!
I’ve done this look #16 keeping the festive mood in mind.. I’ve used the colors blue and purple, two commonly found colors in festive outfits. Have used a bit of glitter here and there to complete the look. I hope you like it 🙂
I’ve painstakingly reached half-way with this challenge, albiet with a lot of factors pulling me down, mostly technical ones. But I’m determined to present to you all (and test myself) 30 eye makeup looks by 3rd September 2013 😀
Look #15 is a classic Indian bridal look, suited/ modified to suit my hooded eyes.. On another note, I could make a gallery of eye makeup inspiration for hooded eyes, it seems 😛
My idea of a typical Indian wedding outfit (north-Indian wedding) is a lehenga with gold, reddish and green colors in it. 99% of the classic wedding attires we see have atleast gold and pink/red in them, though the trend is fast changing. So, anyways, the look here has been done keeping that in mind.
Again, I didn’t get the time to post this look yesterday..Was busy learning technical things for WordPress 🙁
I’ve done this look using the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Or Sunset eyeshadow palette- Eau De Rose. Just used 3 out of 4 colors from the palette (except the peachy shade).
Sorry for such a late post today, my Blog got hacked I guess… Took a lot of time to recover things here… Anyways, the eye makeup look I’m posting about in this post isn’t something I’ve done today. I did it a few days back, but all the blog-backup and stuff didn’t leave me with any time and energy today, so I’m cheating a bit here.
I wore this multi-color traditional outfit to a wedding recently.. By multi-color, I mean- it has green, magenta, gold, yellow, black… this was a first for me, since I normally like to wear not more than 2 or 3 colors in my outfits, even the traditional ones… So I kept my eye makeup fairly simple- some gold on the entire lid and a brownish-taupe on the crease and outer corner… Have a look:
