Today I created a pastel pink ‘smiley’ nail art on my nails. Since it is summers here, I decided to use a pastel pink nail paint, and work around it.
The main inspiration comes from a similar nail art that Donah from Sweet Jelly Bean created on her blog, and I couldn’t help but try and replicate it in parts, though Donah’s is far better and way cute!
In my experiments with nail art these days, I came up with a gothic black holographic nail art yesterday. Most of my nail-art products are from Born Pretty Store, and I totally enjoy playing around with the products that they offer.
You know I haven’t been posting hauls here since some time now. Well, I am saving up like a maniac for something (you will know what in a few days, I promise!), so I am really not spending on makeup these days (most new launches are not even appealing me, like they used to some time back- weird hun?), except for some random buys. The sale season is driving me crazy, but a girl’s gotta shop! So around the holiday sale season towards the end of 2013, I placed a small little order with Born Pretty Store- shopping satiety is something, I tell ya!

The holiday season is here, with Christmas and New Year’s eve just around the corner. In my latest video, I’ve done a quick nail art tutorial for you all! You don’t need a very precise application for this design, minimum products and no special nail-art tools. Cool, right?
Check out the tutorial below 🙂
I’ve done the nail-art with a n*de nail color as a base and black nail color for creating the steps. You can use any two contrasting shades, matching your outfit or theme (say green and red for Christmas).
As we all know, October is celebrated as the Breast Cancer Awareness month all around the globe. A pink ribbon is the symbol of Breast Cancer Awareness campaign globally, and “is associated with individual generosity, faith in scientific progress, and an optimistic “can-do” attitude. It encourages individuals to focus on the emotionally appealing ultimate vision of a cure for breast cancer, rather than the reality that there is no certain cure for breast cancer, and no guarantee there will ever be such a cure.”
In my support towards the campaign, I have created a nail art with a twist. I know this is just a small gesture, but atleast I’m starting off. I have tweaked the symbol of the BCA campaign to create a nail art where the ribbon has been created with silver rhinestones on a pink base.
