Vichy Double Glow Peel Masque: Review

Vichy Double Glow Peel Masque: Review

The worst of all are the tiny whiteheads聽which crop up around my nose and need regular exfoliation. I recently came across the Vichy聽Double Glow Peel Masque. Let’s see how it worked for me.

Vichy Normaderm Total Mat: Review, swatch

vichy normaderm total mat (2)

Heyy everyone!

In this post I’m reviewing the Vichy Normaderm Total Mat moisturiser. I’ve already reviewed the day-moisturiser from this range HERE. While the range has a night-use moisturiser too, the Total-Mat moisturiser can be used both during day and night, whenever you need sweat control.

Now, I bought this product because not only do I have oily skin, Delhi has pretty humid weather too, during the months of May-August.. If you’re venturing out during the day, wearing the make-up can be an issue.. Just getting out of the building and walking towards the car can melt your make-up because of the humidity.. And I wouldn’t even mention here what happens if you plan to travel by public transport 馃檨 I end up wearing no make-up on days like that.. Which is against me being a ‘Beauty Blogger’.. hihi

Read on to know my take on this product.

Vichy ‘Eau Thermale’ Thermal Spa Water: Review

Hey everyone!
Today I’m reviewing a much-neglected product.
I got this聽Vichy Thermal Spa Water聽free with a few Vichy products’ haul last year, but it had been lying in a corner in the vanity ever since. I used it 2-3 times then, and totally forgot about it, until the last trip. The weather (of where we went) was humid, with some rains on and off, and as is customary, my oily skin demanded attention every now and then. This can was lying in my聽travel hand bag聽and I happened to use it twice on the first day, and omg, then for the rest of the trip, I used it almost 3-4 times each day.

  • Reinforces the skin’s natural protection.

Price: Rs. 350 for 5omL

Packaging: The product comes in a white colored spray cannister, with a bright blue cap. The cap doesn;t come off when lying in the handbag. On the outside, it looks like a deodorant can, so you may have to be careful with where you place the can 馃槢 just in case!

Ingredients:聽100% pure Thermal Spa Water. Preservative-free, fragrance-free.

My take on聽Vichy Thermal Spa Water:聽The product is essentially water, comes out as a very fine mist from the can, and spreads easily. You need to spray it onto the face from an 8-10 inch distance for even application. Just spray, and allow it to get absorbed. The skin quickly drinks up the ‘water’ and I don’t need to pat the skin to help with absorption (as per the instructions). It is fragrance free, and I love this fact, since ‘fragrance’ is the only reason I detest carrying rose water (like Dabur Gulabari face freshener)聽in my bag because of their strong fragrance. Things that go on my face should ideally be fragrance free.
It is an instant pick-me-up for dull, tired skin, and a great way to freshen up the face a few hours after all the make-up. Unlike聽M.A.C. Fix+ spray聽which tends to make the skin a little ‘shiny’ some time after application, this one doesn’t make the skin greasy. It doesn’t mattify, but no extra oiliness either. I haven’t noticed any make-up fixing properties, though, so this cannot replace聽MAC Fix+. It’s more of a skin freshener. Imagine freshening up the face on the go, without having to wash the face and applying make-up again and again. Easy, no? It claims to have beneficial minerals for the skin, but no comments on that. Cannot tell as of now!
Expect nothing therapeutic. Just pure freshness!

Pros of Vichy Thermal Spa Water:

  • Very light-weight product (the water itself)
  • Freshens up the skin instantly
  • Does not make the skin oily/ sticky
  • Gets absorbed into the skin completely
  • Does not interfere with make-up already present on the skin
  • Fragrance free
  • Easy to carry/ use. Travel friendly pack.
  • Decently priced
Cons of Vichy Thermal Spa Water: None as such. I wish it worked as a makeup fixing spray too. Okay, I’ll stop being so demanding, it’s just water!

Verdict: If you’re looking for something to instantly freshen up the face, this is a MUST BUY! One of the best face fresheners I’ve tried!聽

Here’s what I finally managed to buy:
1. MAC Brush Cleanser: Rs. 650: With my ever so growing brush collection, I actually NEEDED this one. Glad I got it today!

May Haul/ First re-purchase/ Shopping experience with Slassy.com

Hey everyone!
A new month has started, and, well, I bought a few things I needed. Also, I have, for the first time, re-purchased a product. Yes, I mean, I have never bought a product again, atleast not before a few years have passed before I re-purchased a particular thing (do you call that re-purchasing?)

I’m talking about the Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel (review聽HERE); Rs. 440. The last tube lasted me more than 4 months I guess, even with twice daily usage. I use a very small amount of product. It worked fabulously for me, completely controlling break-outs, or atleast helping with that, along with the toner, and hence the re-purchase. The squeezy tube is travel friendly too, so I prefer buying it over the one which comes with a pump dispenser.

I also bought the Vichy Normaderm 3-in-1 Cleanser + Scrub + Mask; Rs. 390, since the face wash and toner聽from this range have worked well for me.

I also bought the聽Bourjois Levres Contour lip liner in the shade Peche; Rs. 240. Have been on the lookout for a nice, wearable orangish/ peach lipcolor for my complexion for a long time. Let’s see how this one works.

Oh and btw, I bought these products from www.slassy.com; now that urbantouch.com has shut shop. I really miss UT and their signature black boxes, but we have to look forward to other options now. My shopping experience with them was good, and the products reached me safely packed, though I would have loved faster shipping from their end. I placed my order on 27th March, and the parcel reached me on 3rd April. They offer free shipping over Rs. 350.

I’m leaving you guys with 2 questions:

  1. What products do you keep re-purchasing?聽
  2. Any orange/ coral lip color suggestions for dusky complexion (NC45)?
Thanks in advance!!

Vichy Normaderm Purifying Pore-tightening lotion: Review

Vichy Normaderm Purifying Pore-tightening lotion

Hiya girls!

Today I鈥檓 reviewing a skin toner. A toner is one product I cannot imagine my life without, since I have very oily, acne prone skin. The last one that I was using, and loved a lot, was the The Body Shop tea-tree toner. But that one bottle took 13 months to hit the bottom, and by the end of it, I was bored like hell. So I picked this one up, and guess what, I am loving this one too. So I don鈥檛 really know which if the two is my favourite! Read on to know my experience with the Vichy toner in this post.

vichy normaderm purifying toner

About Vichy Normaderm Purifying Pore-tightening lotion: An association of peeling effect ingredients and a skin soothing agent in a purifying lotion. Results- from the 1stapplication, leaves skin feeling mattified and helps unclog/ tighten pores.

vichy normaderm purifying toner reviews

Packaging: Vichy Normaderm Purifying Pore-tightening lotion comes packed in a tall plastic bottle, tapered at the top. The bottle is of a light green color, and has a white flip-top opening. The packaging is simple, and travel friendly. Also, the translucent bottle allows one to see the amount of product left inside.

Ingredients: Active ingredients- Glycolic acid + Salicylic acid. Vichy Thermal Spa Water. For the remaining ingredients, check out the below pic.

Shelf life: 12 months after opening

My take on Vichy Normaderm Purifying Pore-tightening lotion: The toner, as I鈥檇 like to call it, is a watery liquid, which has the lightest of green tint, which is hardly visible on swatching. The lotion has a mild fragrance, which I鈥檓 not able to describe, but it is mild. The toner does not sting on the skin, unlike the mild-tingling sensation one feels when using a tea-tree toner. Also, it carries away all impurities left on the skin even after washing with a face wash (see the below pic for proof), and leaves the skin squeaky clean, mattified and smooth. The skin stays mattified for some time too, and the break-outs I鈥檓 experiencing is way too less than before. I do not have major open pores on my face, so I cannot comment on the effect of this toner on those, but I do feel the toner has mild skin-tightening properties. I have been using this for more than 2-2.5 months now, and I can vouch for its efficacy on oily, acne prone skin.

All in all, a very effective toner for oily, acne-prone skin.
